The sun was beginning to set, and Isaac was quick to finish his remaining chores before heading inside for supper. His mother Kaitlyn was at the stove slicing bread she’d just taken from the oven. A pair of lithe shepherd dogs careened toward the boy, a cluster of puppies following close behind. Isaac dropped to his knees and took the two larger dogs into his arms, elated with the affection his pets provided him.“Come sit down, Isaac,” his mother said faintly, her expression barely extending into a smile. “Make sure you wash up.”
“I will,” he replied, scratching his dogs behind their ears before standing, making sure to feed them before hurrying outside to wash his hands off with water from the pump.
I am currently in the process of making updated descriptions of characters, the story summary, and terms, locations, and other things to know.
Since I don’t plan on posting the “final” draft of this novel on the internet, I’m going to upload the most recently completed draft. It’s very bad. Very, very bad. I would like to think my writing has improved significantly since writing it, but who knows.
Enjoy.
